About
I am a psychologist and a Ph.D. student in the Social Cognitive Lab at the PICR Lab, Department of Psychology. My research focuses on the emotional experiences of disadvantaged group members in environments dominated by advantaged groups. I explore various aspects, including the interplay between language and emotion, intragroup empathy, intergenerational trauma, and resilience.

My lived experiences have profoundly shaped my research projects and interests. I worked as an academic counselor at the Hebrew University, supporting Palestinian students for many years. Additionally, I worked as a therapist in occupied East Jerusalem, where Palestinians constantly face political violence. Working with these two Palestinian populations, whose environments are controlled by the majority group, Jewish-Israelis, has inspired me to investigate the emotional experiences of disadvantaged groups in such realities through their perspectives.
